The biodiesel production process

1- Watch the video and answer these questions.

1- What kind of raw material is used to produce biodiesel?
2- What products are mixed with the feedstock?
3- Can you describe the flammability test?
4- What are the advantages of biodiesel?

2- Watch the video again and put these stages of biodiesel production in order.

·         The fuel is heated to 135 °C and then, a flame is applied to see if the gases ignite.
·         A quantity of methanol is removed from the biodiesel.
·         Glycerin is produced as a result of a chemical reaction when mixing the feedstock with methanol and the catalyst.
·         Samples from each production run are tested to ensure the biodiesel meets international standards.
·         The feedstock is combined with methanol and a catalyst.
